Brookshire Brothers officially opened the doors to their newest grocery store—the first of its kind in Travis County—in the sprawling hills of Lago Vista, Texas on May 3, 2023. The company celebrated its Grand Opening alongside community members with free samples, giveaways, and a ribbon cutting ceremony with the North Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce.

The Coalition began their annual Project Sticker Shock campaign at Brookshire Brothers' Lufkin Gaslight location on March 7, 2023. Drug-Free All-Star seniors from Angelina County high schools placed stickers on alcoholic products to raise awareness about the risk of underage drinking and the consequences of providing alcohol to minors.

On February 8, 2023, the Brookshire Brothers Charitable Foundation had the honor of awarding $88,000 in grants to support programs within our local communities. This year, these contributions will help 33 nonprofit organizations and educational foundations across Texas.
