Brookshire Brothers Charitable Foundation Presents Checks to 2024 Grant Recipients

The Brookshire Brothers Charitable Foundation (BBCF), a 501c3 organization that supports the mission and vision of Brookshire Brothers, Inc., distributed $133,000 to 52 highly deserving nonprofit organizations and educational foundations across the states of Texas and Louisiana. Twenty-two of those nonprofits were first-time recipients of the BBCF grant.

BBCF Supports LISD Education Foundation Grant for Sensory Garden

The Brookshire Brothers Charitable Foundation annually supports grants awarded by the Lufkin ISD Education Foundation. This year, the grant went to Meagan Brevard at Herty Primary, who will use the funds to create an adaptive outdoor sensory garden area for special needs students.

Zavalla Food Pantry Feeds Residents in Rural Angelina County

The Zavalla Food Pantry serves more than 2,000 people each year with boxes full of nutritious food, mostly sourced from the East Texas Food Bank, but also from local donations. The Brookshire Brothers Charitable Foundation has supported the Zavalla Food Pantry for years by providing them gift cards to pick up necessary items from the Zavalla Brookshire Brothers store just a couple of miles down the road.

Improving the Lives of Thousands in Deep East Texas

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Deep East Texas is the largest youth-serving organization in their region, helping to improve academic standards for children, providing daily meals, supporting healthy lifestyles, and addressing character traits like responsibility, honesty, and integrity. Funding provided by many community donors, including the Brookshire Brothers Charitable Foundation, supports operating costs, equipment and supplies, utilities, maintenance, transportation, and training.
