Brookshire Brothers is WILD about the Ellen Trout Zoo! On Friday, May 12th, Brookshire Brothers employees put in some serious sweat equity at the Ellen Trout Zoo as they added another chapter to their annual Zoo Work Day. The tradition started 14 years ago when the zoo needed to improve its infrastructure and Brookshire Brothers responded by allowing its employees to spend a day helping spruce up the zoo. This year, Brookshire Brothers employees across the company, including electricians, plumbers, painters, and carpenters, will donate more than 300 man-hours.

New store, same friendly folks! Brookshire Brothers moved its Valley Mills operations to a new store located at 902 Avenue C on Wednesday, March 22nd. The Valley Mills Chamber of Commerce, City of Valley Mills and Valley Mills ISD will be helped Brookshire Brothers kick things off with a ribbon cutting at 12:00 PM. Grand Opening festivities included a prize wheel, raffles, giveaways, and performances by Valley Mills ISD cheerleaders and band. 

Brookshire Brothers and the Lufkin Convention and Visitors Bureau are teaming up for round three with another evening of elegance and education at Pour & Explore: Destination California. 

Organizations that lay the foundation for stronger communities will have more resources to help them help others thanks to Brookshire Brothers. On Tuesday, the Brookshire Brothers Charitable Foundation awarded more than $100,000 in grants to 16 non-profits and 5 education foundations across its market. The grants give organizations the resources they need to continue living out their mission of serving those in need. Trustees and company executives presented funds to the recipients on Tuesday, January 24th at the George H. Henderson Jr Exposition Center in Lufkin.
