Brookshire Brothers Announces 4 Key Promotions at Corporate Office

LUFKIN, TEXAS (March 25, 2025)… Brookshire Brothers is pleased to announce several advancements within its corporate office. 

Mitch Carroll has been promoted to Vice President of Retail Operations. At the age of 16, Carroll began his Brookshire Brothers career in Jacksonville, Texas. Since that time, he has served in a variety of leadership roles throughout the company, including as a store director in multiple locations, district director and most recently as the Director of Retail Operations.

Carroll’s strong work ethic also carried over to his educational pursuits. In 2021, he earned his Retail Management Certificate through the Western Association of Food Chain’s (WAFC) program and in December 2024, he earned an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Central New Mexico Community College.

Carroll and his wife DeLane reside in Lufkin with their two sons, Jax and Cash, and they have four grown children.

 

Russ Reeder has been promoted to Vice President of Tobacco and Specialty Beverage. Reeder began working as a sacker at Brookshire Brothers in Sulphur, Louisiana in 1987. He was promoted to assistant manager in 1989 and again to store director in Sulphur in 1991. From there, he served as a store director in multiple locations throughout the company until 2012, at which time he was promoted to District Director. In 2019, Reeder assumed the role of Director of Tobacco Operations and subsequently assumed the oversight of the Specialty Beverage Operations.

Reeder resides in Lufkin with his wife Carey and daughter Kylee.

 

Corry Lankford has been promoted to Director of Marketing. Lankford began his career with Brookshire Brothers in 2002 in Alto, Texas, as a cashier and stocker. He was promoted to assistant manager in 2004. In 2008, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas, with bachelor’s degrees in Marketing and Human Resource Management, while also working at several Brookshire Brothers locations, helping train office clerks, cashiers and stockers. In 2008, Lankford began his corporate career at Brookshire Brothers in the Payroll Department and transitioned to the Marketing team in 2010. During that time, he obtained certifications in graphic design, helped launch the Brookshire Brothers Anywhere online ordering program and advanced to Director of Advertising and eCommerce. 

Lankford resides with his wife, Adriana in Lufkin and they have one son, Sebastian. 

 

Maxx Gandy has been promoted to Retail Systems Director. Gandy gained seven years of retail experience at the Lufkin Best Buy store, with four of those years serving as the store’s manager. His Brookshire Brothers career began 11 years ago in the IT Department, first as a software application technician and most recently as Retail Systems Manager. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Management of Information Systems at Southern New Hampshire University. Gandy and his team oversee all of the retail stores’ electronic equipment systems.

 Gandy and his wife Angela reside in Pollok with their three boys, Brexx, Reed and Will.
